Speaking to Janine from Promoting Trafford, Jo explained that their customers come from not only the Altrincham and Trafford area, but also from further afield too. They have become a destination boutique for customers looking for something a little different and to have the experience of Jo and her knowledgeable team in making their special purchases. Jo explained that some members of her team have worked with her for almost 19 years.
We asked how the last 6 months has been for the retail shop, as the wedding industry has been one of the hardest hit due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Jo advises that since they re-opened the shop they have been busy. “After being in lockdown with loved ones, lots of people have wanted to treat their partners with eternity rings and special gifts. Also, although many weddings have been cancelled, customers have still wanted to purchase rings and other gifts as treats.
“It’s been heartwarming to hear some of their stories, and to know that we’ve played a small part in making this year special for them – at a time that people need to be positive and feel loved.”
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the UK Jewellery Awards 2020 event will take place as a virtual event for the first time in the ceremony’s history, held online on 16 December 2020.
