Winners announced in our first Trafford Business and Community Awards 2021

Wow, what an evening we had for our very first Trafford Business and Community Awards 2021! Star-studded, entertainment and three hosts who enjoyed every second of it!

After an up and down 12 months, it was brilliant to recognise and say thank you to some Trafford businesses, community groups and individuals for their hard work, dedication and efforts.

Although we couldn’t have a face to face event, we really wanted to do something fun, exciting and create positive vibes for us. So, the Facebook Live event was created and what a night! With thousands of people watching live, getting involved in the chat across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and all supporting each other.

Thank you to our special guest presenters Eamonn O’Neal (High Sheriff of Greater Manchester) and Phil Trow (BBC Radio Manchester) and Magic Frank for entertaining us.

We had 150 people nominate across 12 categories, and then over 5500 votes in a week for our shortlists. Needless to say the decision making was tough, but myself at Promoting Trafford, and my two sponsors for the event (SUBS Business Events and FSB-Greater Manchester) eventually came to an agreement.  Below is a list of the winners and runner-up across all categories:

Raising Funds For Local Charity

As the awards are about supporting the Trafford community, we’d also like to raise funds for the three charities and community groups above – Trafford Veterans, The Hideaway/ Hope Centre and Everyone Can. All charities have lots crucial funding over the last 12 months, and if we can support these in some way that would be fantastic. Thank you!

The Just Giving page will be open until the end of February for any donations, whatever you are able to afford. Please follow the link below:

I am so happy to be able to showcase some of the amazing local talent we have across Trafford, and bring some positivity and enjoyment. Thank you for getting involved.
